Tsuu T'ina Grey Eagle Casino
Submitted on August 25, 2007 by Kevin

So curiosity killed the cat. I wasn't even sure how to get to the location of this new casino that is set to open here in the west part of Calgary in November (2007) on Tsuu T'ina land. Turns out that it is very easy to get to. Just get on Glenmore Trail and head west. Eventually you will come to 37 Street SW. Turn left (heading south) and BOOM! There it is on the right hand side. The very first right that you can take is the road that leads to the casino. Even if you are seriously challenged with following directions you can't miss it. The structure is blue and stands out with it's mountain like symbols that border the entire building.

I just happened to have my camera so I thought I would take a quick photo of the scene. The whole area is currently surrounded by a fairly high fence, so awkwardly I reached over the top of the fence and snapped a few pictures hoping at least one of them would turn out.

Grey Eagle Casino

It looks like work is well under way and many heavy machines were busy working on the grounds. This will be Calgary's 7th casino, and the first of its kind, not only because it's on Tribal land, but it's the first casino in the west side of Calgary.

Without a doubt this casino will have a poker room. I have no information on how many tables or what their initial plans are, but you can be sure they will be pulling out all the stops to entice customers as well as potential employees into joining their new venture.

This will definitely be something to see when it is completed. The only other source of information online that I can find pertaining to this casino can be found on their website: greyeaglecasino.ca
