Poker Information Updates In Calgary

This website has been in my possession for a few years and has evolved a few times. The original idea behind this site was a place to centralize poker information for the city of Calgary. When a poker room has a special promotion or tournament, it would be great if players had a place to view all of the most recent news & information available for all of the poker rooms. In the past I attempted to gather some of the information on my own, but I believe this concept would be more beneficial if the poker rooms were directly involved themselves. Those facilities that choose to funnel information through this source can rest assured that their information will be posted within 24 hours for anyone to view.

Please use "Google" to verify that the keywords "...calgary...poker..." will bring up this website at the top of the page in the #1 position. This is where the rubber meets the road. Many websites struggle to make it to the Top 10 sites listed on Google. We are at #1 right now! Many variations of those keywords will also list CalgaryPoker.net in the #1 position as well, and it is my personal mission to maintain this successful visibility indefinitely.

It may also interest you to know that I am currently working in the casino industry as a poker dealer and have been in the industry for many years in 4 different casinos, including BC & Alberta. I have been a poker Pit boss, a poker room Manager, and I have extensive experience with all variations of the game including poker tournaments. The reason I mention this is because I have a general interest in the game, and sincerely feel I am doing my part to further the cause of this pastime. The more successful poker rooms become, the more options become available to those of us that are interested in the game and in the future success of the game.

Some of you may have some concerns about external links to other poker related websites or to online poker sites. Please be aware that I take full responsibility for any content on this site. My goal is to make poker information available to the public. This may or may not include links to other poker related sites (including online poker) that also may include links to other poker related sites (including online poker). Remember that links are just that. They are pointers to other sites and don't necessarily mean that a site has a business or personal relationship with that site. I am not asking for any fees to use this service. Once again, I am only interested helping to promote the game of poker and I believe that I can do that regardless of who updates to this information blog.

Send any poker related news update to info@calgarypoker.net, and I will update the information to the site in the following afternoon. I do not have any specific requirements or rules regarding what you can post, but I will read it carefully and if there is any questionable content I will direct any questions back to the original sender. This blog will not be available for posting to the general public, but only to you, myself, and to various other approved poker writers with poker articles that will be screened personally by myself.
